$26- $34 /hour DOE
Position Summary:
Working with moderate supervision, prepare and apply protective finishes to aircraft components in accordance with repair station rules and specifications.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Apply various protective finishes to aircraft components and shop tooling
- Clean, prep and mask aircraft components and shop tooling for application of protective finishes
- Document maintenance completed in accordance with federal regulations, repair station rules and specifications
- Maintains a clean and organized work area
- Must use, wear and enforce required PPE within assigned production work area
- Operate required machinery and equipment in a proper manner following established safety rules
- Read, understand and adhere to SDS guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
- Provide technical assistance to Mechanic Assistants as directed
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously
- 1-3 years’ experience in application of aircraft protective finishes or related experience preferred
- Ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol test
- U.S. person or lawful permanent resident (green card holder) preferred due to ITAR regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- General knowledge of aircraft component technical data such as SRM, CMM, engineering drawings etc.
- A general knowledge of paint processes and products (lacquers, enamels, epoxies, urethanes, and acrylics) is necessary
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Location: Glendale, AZ - Onsite

- No Travel for this position.

- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Physical Demands:
- Work Environment: 100% shop floor (warehouse and aviation repair shop)
- Lifting: Maximum 50 lbs.
- Carrying, Walking, Pushing, Climbing, Reaching
Working Conditions:
- This position works in machine shop and aviation repair shop environment.
- Momentary exposure to high noises
- Exposure to chemicals and cleaning agents
- Personal Protection Equipment may be required for certain tasks
