Position Summary:
The Buyer/Customer Support Specialist is responsible for vendor and customer company management, vendor non-conformance management, customer RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) management, and managing customer inquiries. This position will report into the Quality Department and report to the Quality/Operations Director. The primary goal of this position will be to enhance the overall external customer experience by serving as an internal customer service liaison.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Investigating and resolving non-conforming products in a timely manner
• Investigating RMA claims from customers for validity and working with Sales/Asset Management to determine the best course of action
• Managing customer and vendor inquiries that come through via phone and/or emails and serving as a liaison between any parties involved, including the customers, vendors, and any Unical Aviation departments
• Collaborate and proactively problem solve between multiple departments and customers/vendors
• Gather feedback from internal customers to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the overall employee experience
• Adding and maintaining customers and vendors to the approved database
• Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
• 2 - 4 years of customer-facing service experience
• Proven experience in a customer service or support role
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Good critical thinking skills and proactive problem solver
• Able to manage multiple projects at the same time
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations with a calm and professional demeanor
Preferred Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5 years of customer-facing service experience
• Working knowledge of quality control in a surplus or maintenance operation
• Warehouse Operations or Sales experience a plus
• Aviation experience a plus

• Glendale, AZ – Onsite, No Remote Work

Physical Demands:
• Lifting: Up to 30 lbs. lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, reaching
Working Conditions:
• This position primarily works in an office setting with various time spent on warehouse floor and aviation repair station
