This role is based in Coolidge, AZ

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Position Summary

This role will serve as the on-site Safety & Compliance Specialist Officer. This role is responsible for developing and implementing maintaining safety & compliance programs and to support the Head of QHSE with ongoing H&S and compliance requirements for the Coolidge Operation.

 Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage Conduct new hire safety orientation Induction program and provide ongoing job specific safety training.
  • Support development and implementation of workplace safety programs to ensure a safe work environment and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide safety training related to procedures, regulations, and use of equipment.
  • Conduct facility inspections communicates findings and implements corrective actions.
  • Conduct investigations into incidents, accidents and near misses and makes recommendations on corrective action.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly audits for Quality, H&S and AFRA and generate reports and action plans.
  • Serve as a point of contact for periodic facility audits and inspections performed by regulatory agencies.
  • Manage work related injuries, including completion of Incident Reports.
  • Maintain all safety related files and records and create monthly reports, monitoring performance via ELMS/ Fresh Service.
  • Track safety performance for the site and monitors the H&S reporting system.
  • Develop and maintain a strong safety culture.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma.
  • 2 years’ experience in a safety role
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Attention to detail and ability to organize data.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work outside for a large percentage of time.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in safety and health or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in aviation or engineering environment. 

Travel:

  • Up to 25%

Languages:

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

 Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand, sit and walk 25% of the time for each category.
  • Ability to periodically kneel, bend, crouch, squat, reach, stoop, climb, push, pull and lift.
  • Lifting: minimum 30 lbs.

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to varying weather conditions and temperatures in/out of the warehouse.
  • Occasional exposure to noisy environments.
