Position Summary

Unical Aviation is seeking a Training Specialist to lead the design, implementation, and management of training programs that span safety, quality, orientation, leadership, and employee development. You’ll be the driving force behind learning initiatives that ensure compliance, promote safety, and support our team's professional growth.
In this key role, you'll collaborate with subject matter experts across departments to identify learning needs, develop engaging and effective training materials, and deliver programs that align with both regulatory requirements and company values. Duties & Responsibilities
• Design and develop training programs tailored to the organization’s needs, including onboarding, technical skills, leadership development, soft skills, and safety/environmental practices
• Conduct training sessions for new hires and current employees using both synchronous (live) and asynchronous (self-paced) methods
• Evaluate training effectiveness using models such as Kirkpatrick and ROI, and update content to maintain relevance and compliance
• Create and maintain a training calendar, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery of training programs
• Perform training needs and gap analyses to guide content development and align learning objectives with organizational goals
• Oversee and implement multiple delivery methods, ensuring accessibility and engagement for all employees
• Facilitate live training sessions when needed, delivering clear, informative, and interactive instruction
• Manage and coordinate external training vendors and consultants to ensure quality and consistency in training offerings
• Analyze data to track training trends, measure success, and adjust programs accordingly
• Introduce best practices and innovative tools to continuously improve the training function
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Training Management, Leadership Development, Technical Trainer, or Training Specialist role
• Proven success in developing and delivering training programs in a corporate or operational setting
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities across all levels of an organization
• Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and training development software
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Knowledge of aviation industry regulations, compliance, and safety standards
Travel
Occasional travel may be required to conduct inspections, audits, or trainings across company locations
Language
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Physical Demands
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs on occasion
• Physical activities may include: Carrying, Walking, Pushing, Climbing, Reaching
